CEMAS at Science & Technology Campus Corporation
Built for The Ohio State University’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering, this facility houses 13 electron microscopes, believed to be the highest concentration of these types of high-end microscopes in North America.
OhioHealth Neuroscience Institute
Korda Engineering is part of the Integrated Project Delivery Team that OhioHealth Corporation has commissioned to design their newest patient tower. This new high rise tower will be connected to the existing hospital within the existing urban campus. Currently the largest healthcare provider in Columbus, this significant tower addition to their main campus will further increase their count of private rooms. This project will modernize many of the infrastructure systems serving the facility. Korda is providing the HVAC, electrical, and structural engineering for the project.
The Ohio State University Peter L. and Clara M. Scott Laboratory Building
A 244,000 SF facility for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, in the College of Engineering. Korda performed general site and site utility work for this project. The building site is compact and required meticulous location and coordination of site utilities. Part of the project included site support work for a pedestrian plaza and phased construction of a loading dock area so that nearby postal service operations could continue uninterrupted.
Center of Science & Industry
The state-of-the-art facility along the Columbus river front consists of historical exhibit space, agricultural demonstration area, outdoor science park, simulated ocean research station, theater, planetarium, space exploration exhibit, computer exhibit, sports exhibit, and restaurant with 350 seats.
The project team won the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Harry H. Edwards Industry Advancement Award, PCI Design Award, and the Dayton AIA Merit Design Award.

This 107,000 SF community center complex serves multiple functions and has helped to revitalize the surrounding Dayton, Ohio neighborhood.
