This new 31,100 SF ambulatory
center has diagnostic imaging, emergency treatment,
laboratory, pharmacy, community education, registration
and administrative areas. The facility also features
11,900 SF of medical office space and has ample parking
for 200+ vehicles. The site and new facility are designed
to accommodate proposed future expansion plans that
will result in a 50-bed hospital.
The plumbing systems, in addition
to the standard distribution systems, require a water
softener and a deionized production system for the laboratory.
Medical gases include an oxygen tank farm, medical air
compressor and vacuum pump. In addition, an underground
fuel oil storage tank with leak monitoring and transfer
pumps provides the generator and boiler back-up fuel.
An electrical room separated from
the emergency power equipment houses the new electrical
switchgear. The back-up power system is a series of
automatic transfer switches and an exterior generator
within a sound attenuating housing using fuel oil as
the combustion source. The generator is being relocated
from another facility within the healthcare system.
Low voltage systems include technology systems, nurse
call, fire alarm and others.
