This new 229,000 SF research laboratory serves the current and future research and support needs of the department with heavy emphasis on advanced lasers, plasma and particle work.

Within the building is a 1,300 SF Class 1000 clean room which has a dedicated air handling unit with HEPA filtered supply air diffusers and fume hoods. It is provided with laboratory gases that include nitrogen, lab air, and compressed air. It also has CAP1 and CAP2 high-purity water systems.
