The new/renovated 640,000 SF space was created
as a state-of-the-art education and performance facility.
The project was phased over several years in order to maintain
use of the existing facilities throughout the construction
period. The building includes the 740-seat Corbett Auditorium,
a vocal arts center, a 300-seat recital hall, a studio theater,
classrooms, restrooms, a broadcast production studio, dressing
rooms, dance facilities, new scene shop, prop storage, costume,
lighting, make-up and painting studios. Major parts of the
renovated complex received totally new HVAC, electrical, plumbing,
fire protection, and lighting systems. Campus utility systems
were also expanded.
