In conjunction with
the renovation and expansion of the Old Police Headquarters
located at 120 W. Gay Street, Korda provided civil and structural
engineering services for a pedestrian tunnel from the Old
Police Headquarters to City Hall; development of a pedestrian
plaza adjacent to these buildings. The renovation of W.
Gay Street transforms the largely asphalt/concrete auto
parking area into a "grand civic plaza" complete
with landscaping, shade trees, and benches; Installation of
approximately 3,000 feet of electric and communications concrete
ductbank.
Future phases include the addition of a 400-car parking garage
and development of a park to replace the asphalt parking lot
adjacent to this building. |
