This new 260,000 SF research facility includes five stories
of laboratories, environmental chambers, and sophisticated
communications systems. The laboratories are equipped with
such advanced instrumentation as electron microscopes, mass
spectrometers, chromatographs, differential scanning calorimeters,
nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers, and sophisticated
rheometers. 36 different gases and chemicals are distributed
throughout the building from a central tank farm through a
complex and highly regulated piping network.
The Applied Research Laboratory contains one of the industry’s
largest arrays of polymer processing equipment to evaluate the
processing performance of polymers and to produce samples for
testing and customer evaluation. |
