The new 134,000 SF building for the Department of Psychology includes offices, pool classrooms, research labs, animal holding spaces, and animal behavior testing spaces. The facility also includes research for behavioral neuroscience, cognitive/experimental psychology and clinical psychology. The facility is a major contributor to positioning the department as a nationally recognized leader in research, teaching, and service.

Specific lab areas included animal holding rooms, behavioral testing rooms, procedure rooms, surgical rooms, necropsy, and imaging (MRI). Behavioral responses to physical, chemical and pharmaceutical stimuli will be researched in this facility. The laboratories utilize bio-hazard hoods in some areas.
