Columbus Crew Stadium

The new Major League Soccer stadium for the Columbus Crew which consists of 22,485 seats (expandable to 40,000 seats). The project has a prescription turf playing field and 100,000 SF of support buildings. Korda designed site lighting, stadium lighting, and security systems for the stadium area. Phased construction was required for this fast track project, which was completed by the stipulated opening day.

Site development includes circulation roads, 800-car parking lot, drainage and storm water detention. Relocation of an existing 48” storm sewer which was directly beneath the playing field was required. This same sewer is the outlet for storm water, which is detained in a dry basin to the west of the stadium prior to release.
