Chesire Road and 3Bs and K Road

A feasibility study for improving the intersection of Chesire Road and 3 B’s and K Road. The study included providing short-term recommendations with estimated costs and evaluating three conceptual alternatives for project feasibility and preparing preliminary cost estimates. The three conceptual alternatives studied were signalized intersection including appropriate turn lanes on existing alignment, signalized intersection including appropriate turn lanes on improved alignment, and a modern roundabout. Korda performed the following in preparation of the final report: gathered sight distance and other necessary field data, developed future traffic volumes based on coordination with MORPC regional model, analyzed traffic volumes and developed narrative and tables summarizing existing and future conditions, and developed short-term and long-term recommendations with estimated costs.
